Lunenburg Proud T-Shirt
June 7th is the town of Lunenburg's birthday and we are celebrating by offering a 20% sale on our Lunenburg Proud T-Shirts! You'll also receive a free copy of the Bluenose Skipper, the story of Angus Walters (much of it is told in his own words), written by G.J Gillespie.
In an effort to engage and encourage the youth within our community to learn more about Lunenburg's proud heritage and the history of the Bluenose, we ran a t-shirt design contest for grade seven students at the Bluenose Academy. The winner of this contest was a young lady named Bella Rose, who created this colourful and unique design.
Lunenburg Proud by Bella Rose
"For the background I wanted to use bright colours instead of a yellow to red gradient. I wanted a neon sunset from a bright yellow to a magenta and royal blue mix (it's also to symbolize brightly coloured houses in Lunenburg). For the Bluenose I wanted a bland colour palette so the boat would pop off the page. The reason I wrote proud is because we are proud of our culture".
This t-shirt is for both men and women, is made of a 90/10 cotton-poly blend and runs in sizes small to 2XL.
